Our Women’s Imaging Services

Mammography - 3D

The most common imaging technique used to create a set of X-ray images of the breast. This non-invasive test plays a very important role in diagnosing breast cancers at an early stage.

Breast Biopsy

This minimally invasive outpatient procedure is performed with a special biopsy needle to remove a small amount of breast tissue. Once removed, the sample is sent to the lab for evaluation by pathology to see if cancer or other abnormal cells are present.

Breast MRI

A breast MRI is a non-invasive medical imaging procedure that creates detailed images of the breast tissue using powerful magnets and radio waves. It is a safe and painless procedure that can be used for breast cancer screening and diagnosis, but may not be suitable for all patients.

DEXA/Bone Density

Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) may also be referred to as a bone mineral screening or bone mass density scan. This non-invasive scan measures the density of your bones to assess whether you currently have osteoporosis, or detect early changes to your bone density.

Breast Ultrasound

Breast ultrasound is a non-invasive procedure that uses sound waves to produce pictures of the internal structures of the breast. It is used to evaluate breast abnormalities that are found during mammography or a physical exam.
